Composting wood can be tricky. It's definitely not as easy as grass and leaves, which is why i'm using grass and leaves to kickstart the pile of wood. Adding plenty of manure helps too. Actually, its not too hard to compost, but you will need some sort of long thermometer to know if things are working after the pile is built. - getting your compost "hot" with FREE kickstarters
