Western Red Cedar is a light weight alternative to our Englemann Spruce and very stiff. It is preferred by some instrument makers for its stability and light weight. Western Cedar has a wide range of wood colours with the most desirable being chocolate. Grain is straight with a coarse texture and moderate natural lustre.

This top provides plenty of workspace to make an acoustic parlor guitar. However, please note that on one half the thickness varies. Please see photos for reference.
