Engelmann Spruce, most well known for its excellent tone quality, is an amazingly strong, light and flexible wood and has exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. It also has beautiful uniform colour, usually a cream to almost white.

AAA grade is a near perfect top, narrow even grain, and cross grain is very stiff.

133-EA was cut in 2000 at an estimated 10 years standing dead and has been stored indoors since. This well aged top is ready to be worked. Please not the runout at the top outer edge of the top. It extends 38mm inwards and 195mm from the top. This falls out of the pattern. See photos for reference.
