Engelmann Spruce, most well known for its excellent tone quality, is an amazingly strong, light and flexible wood and has exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. It can also showcase beautiful colour and characteristics that could give your guitar a unique look and feel.

This unique top has a very rare burl growth mixed with an extremely unique brown pattern and bulging grain around the figure. The top has medium to wide grain across with varied brown colouring. The large bear claw like feature is due to the burl growth. We are calling it dragon’s claw.

There is a small pin knot on the outer portion of the dragon claw which is reflected in the price.
