Cottonwood is a poplar variety that is an excellent alternative to maple. It has a beautiful pale colouring and is one of the softer hardwood varieties, making it easier to carve.

This set contains a one-piece back with rib stock. Rib stock comes in blank form to be re-sawn into the makers preferred thickness and length.
